What you need before you apply
To apply, you must have completed an SIA (Security Industry Authority)-approved training course and hold a valid SIA licence. You will also need proof of a recognised first aid qualification, as well as valid proof of identity and UK residency. All applicants must provide an up-to-date CV and appropriate documentation based on employment status, including a valid 10-digit UTR number if self-employed or a company registration number if trading as a registered business.
A DBS certificate is required at either the enhanced or standard level, depending on the role. Medical and first aid requirements vary by position: close protection roles require Level 3 First Aid or FPOS 3 (or equivalent), while door supervision and security guard roles require Emergency First Aid at Work or FAAW certification.
